I love hand and foot print projects for kids. Not only are they adorable, but it's a fun way to remember how little those hands and feet once were!
I used to make these Halloween ghosts with my toddler class way back when, but when I tried it with my son, they didn't turn out great. My white tempura paint wasn't thick enough - the ghosts just disappeared on the black construction paper. I decided to try it again with acrylics. Then I remembered I had some tiny cardboard canvases tucked away...
black and white acrylic paints
wet washcloth or paper towel
1. Cover the canvas with a thick coat of black paint. Let dry.
2. Paint baby's foot with white paint and place their foot or help them step on the canvas. Carefully remove foot and let canvas dry.
3. Dip baby's finger in black paint to make the two eyes. Use baby's thumb to make the mouth.
And there you have it...a spooky mini masterpiece you'll enjoy for years to come!
