Holiday Finger Puppets

The other day I was thinking of ways to fill Abe's advent boxes and decided to design some felt finger puppets. His aunt knitted him a little glow-in-the-dark ghost for Halloween and he plays with it all the time (it haunts the attic of the Little People house), so I figured he'd enjoy some new finger puppet friends for the holidays.

There's Santa...

...and Frosty...

...Rudolph...

...an Elf...

...and a Christmas tree!

The pattern for the whole gang is available here as a free download. They're really quick and easy to make, and since my little guy and his cousin already spotted them, I know that kids love them...

...even if they're too young to know who this is.

  3. I made the Santa last night and it took me three hours! Haha, just curious how long it took you to do the whole project? Hopefully I'll get quicker with each one.

  4. Wow! Well, I cut out all the pieces before I started - don't remember how long that took but I'm not a fast cutter. I'd say the sewing took about 30 minutes for each one...a little longer for Santa because he had more pieces to put together than the others. Frosty was the fastest. I'm sure you'll get faster with practice. How did Santa turn out?

  5. He turned out very cute. My friend asked me if I would sell them and she was impressed it was hand sewed! I had to cut the rim off of his hat though cause i goofed up :) So his hat is rimless but my son doesn't seem to care, haha. Thanks again! I love your blog :)

  7. Thanks Candy! I'm not very good at making faces (see the elf's silly smile) so I didn't add Santa's mouth. I think I put one in the pattern though! :-)

  8. These are simply adorable, and I pinned them last year but didn't get to them in time. This year, my daughter is six years old, and she's eager to help. Thanks for your generosity - looking forward to them!
