Best of 2012

I'm still not ready to get started with 2013 (heck, I'm not even ready to start the week!), so I figured I'd share some of our favorite projects, recipes, and other posts from 2012. Just click on the pictures to see the original posts.

We spread some love last Valentine's Day with a craft easy enough for a toddler to do.

Abe loves bubbles...and the easiest way to make sure we always have bubbles on hand is to make our own!

Abe and I made a cardboard playhouse. I'm still not sure who had more fun!

We tried out some natural egg dyes for Easter.

I pulled out an old favorite from grade school and made some tissue paper flowers for Mother's Day.

We also experimented with another childhood favorite and made shrink plastic bracelets from recycled take out containers.

We rescued an old, beat up puzzle and turned it into a family heirloom.

This year Noah and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary! (...so I shared photos from our wedding.)

Abe helped me plant our vegetable garden.

I finally found a way to use the photos I've taken with my phone and covered an empty wall in our living room.

We fixed up an unused corner of our yard as a play space for Abe.

We celebrated Abe's second birthday with a Curious George party!

We used some of our homegrown basil to make homemade pesto. Yum!

We made a little announcement. :-)

We had fun painting, pasting, and putting together a number of art projects for Halloween.

I started...and finished knitting another baby blanket in record time!

Abe and I whipped up some glitter play dough...and made LOTS of dinosaurs.

I made ice cream and sorbet for Thanksgiving.

We continued our 12 Days of Christmas Ornaments in 2012. This photo cube was one of my favorites!

We ended the year with a white Christmas, and now that the decorations are all put away I need to start preparing for the new year....and the new baby!
